Corton Chaumes Grand Cru 2009

We produced this Corton Grand Cru les Chaumes from Pinot Noir vines with an age of nearly 45 years, sited in reddish, limestone and clay soils with a south-east aspect, on the mid-Chaumes slope north-west of the ancient village of Aloxe-Corton. The growing season and harvest in 2006 were fine for Pinot Noir with lovely ripeness of fruit, purity and structure. Bottled after 16 months in barrel, this is a wine of real depth, weight and opulence which we really hope that you will enjoy.
